“Prior to beginning our work, Gretchen invested a lot of time interviewing people across the organization to get a baseline understanding of where the company was currently performing relative to its vision, mission, values, and goals. She spent an extensive amount of time interviewing employees to understand and document their perspective. Then she conducted similar conversations with the entire senior leadership team and presented her findings. Everyone across the organization really appreciated being invited to participate in the process prior to the design of content and materials as it enabled us to understand where our opportunities were based on employee insights and then develop tools to address those areas. Gretchen’s approach to understanding our organization by interviewing our people engaged stakeholders and participants in the process early and generated interest and excitement prior to us launching the program.
As she was designing the program, Gretchen dedicated time to walk senior leadership thru the blueprint, solicited our opinions, and then adapted her approach based on the discussions. Gretchen’s focus on feedback as an enhancement and her flexibility prior to launch enabled us to adapt materials and content based on the covid-19 pandemic, which made the training feel even more timely.
